Taking the Train to Shanghai

The next morning it was time to get up and go to the train station. We took the train to Shanghai. We sat in the "soft seat" section -- notice the slip covers on the seats and the doilies crumplied up on the back of the seat. Between each set of seats was a small table covered with a table cloth.

The train was on time.
